About Mike |
Mike retired from Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue service, where he served as their Chief Fire Officer. Now based in the lovely fishing port of Brixham, South Devon, Mike spends his time away from fishing by hiding in his workshop. Mike is a very keen, though novice, model engineer and is building a variety of projects ranging from a 2" scale traction engine through to a 1.3cc diesel Mills aero engine. Mike suffers from degenerative oesteoarthritis and is limited in time he can spend on his interests. Steve is often handed the rod to reel it in if they are fishing a deep wreck, although he seems to hang on if its a fish! Looking at the video on this site with the conger eels that would be a definite 'over to you Steve'. Mike spends quite a bit of time laid down, and makes best use of this enforced rest by creating and updating websites. He has one for his model engineering site, a couple dealing with silver items which he collects and resells at times, and now of course dartmouthfishing.co.uk amongst others, (links on the left). So, no matter what, fishing is a wonderful escape and we both hope you enjoy this fishing site. "I've no lead in my pencil....I need it for the fishing line!" |
